Youth Agora 2026: Young Voices Connecting Across Europe

Youth representatives making their voices heard

Following a questionnaire shared with young people, the Youth Agora project continued in 2026 with the involvement of youth representatives from participating Second Chance Schools and organisations.

The aim is to provide them with a space to talk about their own realities, identify the issues that matter to them and explore together how young people’s voices can be better heard, within their schools and beyond.

Digital Agora Meetings to exchange and debate

The Digital Agora Meetings are at the heart of this new phase. Each meeting gives representatives from different countries the opportunity to speak through dedicated sessions, followed by time for debate, questions and exchanges between young people.

Throughout the meetings, young people from Denmark, Ireland, France, Portugal, Sweden, Spain and Greece take the floor to present their realities and the issues that matter to them.

The discussions bring forward a wide range of concerns. Young people have addressed topics such as mental health, artificial intelligence, education, equality and human rights, ecology, social media and the place of young people in political life, among many other issues reflecting their realities and concerns.

These meetings allow young people to compare their experiences, discover concerns expressed elsewhere in Europe and open discussions on issues that directly affect their daily lives.

From discussions to a European Youth Declaration

The Digital Agora Meetings are part of a wider process. Ideas and proposals expressed throughout the different sessions are progressively collected and organised to contribute to the development of a European Youth Declaration.

This work will continue at the E2C Youth Summit, from 19 to 23 October 2026 in Matosinhos, Portugal, where young people and professionals will come together around European citizenship and youth participation. The European Youth Declaration will be one of the central activities of the programme.
